The systems you live inside — work, money, ownership, identity, community — were designed by someone. Not discovered, not inevitable: designed. Usually a long time ago, usually for conditions that no longer hold, and usually by people who never met you.
R3think Everything exists to take those systems apart in public. Each week, this newsletter picks one default setting of modern life and pulls it apart — the history of how it got this way, the incentives that keep it this way, and what communities are actually building in its place. Not hot takes: teardowns, written to be argued with.
Why 'three'? Because every question worth asking here gets asked at three altitudes. Self: what does this system do to one person's time, attention, and sense of worth? Communities: how does it shape the rooms you're in — who gets heard, who gets paid, who gets left out? World: if a million communities rethought it together, what would the replacement look like at scale? One altitude gives you an opinion. Three give you a map.
A disclosure you should hold us to: we're not neutral observers. This newsletter comes from R3SET, and the people writing it are building the 3cosystem — platforms that bet real work on the answers to these questions. When an issue touches something we're building, we'll say so in the issue. The bias isn't hidden; it's the point. We rethink these systems because we have to live with our answers.
The podcast arrives with Season 1; the first five episodes are already in production, and subscribers hear everything first. Until then: one idea, re-examined, every week. Bring your counterarguments.
